We Should Probably Introduce Ourselves: Meet Cycling Frog 🚲🐸

Every company has an origin story.

Ours somehow involves a frog on a bicycle, several thousand flavor tests, countless late-night brainstorms, and a firm belief that life is too short for boring cannabis.

If that sounds unusual, good. (We'd hate to be boring.)

Over the years, Cycling Frog has grown from a dream, a frog, a handful of humans, and a healthy disregard for convention into a cannabis company with award-winning products, passionate fans, and more amphibian-leaning jokes than anyone could've reasonably predicted.

So if you've ever wondered what we're about, how we got here, or why we're so committed to making cannabis a good time, pull up a chair, and strap in.

We've got a story for you.

Remember The Fun Part?

Cannabis has come a long way.

Not that long ago, "product research" meant whatever your cousin's friend said about his mom’s mysterious brownies behind a gas station. Today, we have better products, better information, better testing, and more choices than ever before.

That's a good thing.

For years, people worked hard to move cannabis out of the shadows and into the mainstream. The stigma started to fade. New products made it more approachable. More people felt comfortable giving it a try.

But somewhere along the way, "Dude, this stuff is awesome" started turning into a chemistry lecture.

Something that was supposed to feel approachable started feeling a little intimidating. Or maybe that was just the internet.

Either way, it sometimes felt like there was a lot of pressure to "do cannabis correctly."

We never really understood that.

You shouldn't need a glossary, a laboratory degree, tons of money to blow, or a friend named Kyle who's really into terpenes to find something you'll enjoy.

Most people aren't looking for a new identity. They're looking for a way to unwind after work. To make game night a little more fun. To laugh harder at a joke that probably wasn't that funny in the first place.

In other words: real life.

Your Ride, Your Rules

We've always had a pretty simple philosophy: There isn't one right way to enjoy cannabis.

And that’s pretty much the whole enchilada to us.

As cannabis has become more accepted, more people have discovered what everyone’s favourite tie-dye-wearing grandpa already knew: everybody's relationship with it looks a little different.

Some people are looking for a microdose. Some are looking for a nap. Some are looking for outer space. Some are looking for all of the above at different points of the day.

We're not here to judge.

The way we see it, cannabis should fit into your plans, not the other way around.

Sometimes that means sharing a few drinks with friends around a fire pit. Sometimes it means taking a gummy and becoming deeply invested in a documentary about octopuses. Sometimes it means calling it an early night and sleeping like a snuggly rabbit in a warm little den while it rains outside.

All of those are valid.

That's why we make the products we make.

Different formats, different potencies, and different experiences. Not because everybody is different and we’re being super granola about it, but because every day is different.

It’s your ride. You get to choose the speed.

That's always been our philosophy.

The harder part is living up to it.

Because creating products for real life means creating products people can actually rely on.

The kind people toss in a cooler, leave in a snack drawer, or bring on a hike without thinking twice.

Worth Obsessing Over

Making cannabis approachable is important, sure. But making it trustworthy is non-negotiable.

creating products people can rely on sounds simple right up until you actually try doing it.

It's one thing to make a product somebody enjoys once. It's another thing entirely to create something they come back to again and again. The kind of product they feel comfortable sharing with friends, using in place of alcohol, or recommending to somebody who's brand new to the whole thing.

That's the part people don't always see.

The flashy part of this industry gets plenty of attention. The flavor launches. The product drops. The increasingly questionable celebrity endorsements… You get the idea.

But the less glamorous stuff matters just as much. That's the stuff we obsess over:

  • Choosing ingredients carefully.
  • Fine-tuning formulations.
  • Figuring out how to make products taste great, feel consistent, and deliver the experience people expect every single time they reach for them.

We make our products ourselves and oversee every step of the process, from seed to sip. That means obsessing over things most people never think about:

  • The hemp itself.
  • The fruit juices.
  • The sugar.
  • The cannabinoid blends.
  • The nanoemulsification technology that helps our beverages kick in faster and more predictably.
  • The endless rounds of testing, tweaking, tasting, and refining that happen before a product ever reaches a shelf.

It's why our gummies are vegan. It's why we use real ingredients. It's why every batch is tested by independent third-party labs.

We don't chase miracle claims, magic cures, or whatever wellness buzzword happens to be having a moment online. We just work really hard to make products we'd be excited to share with our friends.

Maybe that's not the most exciting approach.

But if cannabis is going to keep earning its place at the table, somebody has to be the adult in the room. We just happen to be the one in the room wearing a giant inflatable frog costume.

At the end of the day, nobody builds a routine around manufacturing processes.

They build routines around experiences.

The details matter because the moments matter.

Good Times Come In Different Shapes

If there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that cannabis doesn't show up in people's lives the same way every time.

The product that's perfect for a Saturday barbecue might not be the product you reach for after a long day at work. The person who's curious about cannabis for the first time probably isn't looking for the same experience as someone who's been enjoying it since disco was on the radio.

That's true whether you're talking about different people or just different Tuesdays. Life has range.

That's why we've never tried to build our company around a single product. Instead, we've spent the last few years building a lineup designed to meet people where they are.

We've got microdose mints. We've got CBD softgels. We've got gummies ranging from light and balanced to rosin-infused and decidedly not messing around. We've got beverages that start at a gentle 2mg THC and climb all the way to 50mg. We've got brownies, variety packs, and plenty of other ways to find your sweet spot.

Every product starts with the same question: "What kind of experience is this helping create?" Not: "How much THC can we cram into this thing?" or "What's everybody else doing?"

Sometimes the answer is a backyard hang with friends. Sometimes it's a concert. Sometimes it's a quiet evening on the couch. Sometimes it's introducing someone to cannabis for the very first time.

Different occasions call for different experiences.

Our job isn't to tell people which one is right. Our job is to make sure they have options.

Thoughtfully made. Consistently tested. Built with the same care and attention that goes into everything we do.

At the end of the day, we're not trying to fit people into boxes. We're trying to make sure there's something on the table for everyone.

And the funny thing is, when you spend enough time building products around good times, you end up meeting a lot of people who enjoy having them.

Turns out, they're pretty fun to hang out with.

You’re Along For The Ride, Too.

At some point, Cycling Frog became more than a product lineup.

Maybe it was somewhere between the artist collaborations, the festivals, the giveaways, the games, and the realization that our customers were MUCH funnier than we are.

Either way, we're glad it did.

Because while we're proud of the products we make, the best part of Cycling Frog has always been the people who choose to spend their time with us.

Over the years, we've watched our community grow alongside the industry itself. We've met incredible artists, creators, retailers, and customers from all walks of life. People who care about good products, good company, and not taking themselves too seriously.

That's the spirit you'll find throughout everything we do.

It's in our social channels. It's in our events. It's in The Pond. It's in the games, the rewards, the weird little projects, and the occasional piece of frog-related nonsense that somehow makes it out of your inbox and into the ears of a stranger you met at a party.

Cannabis has always been social. We're just trying to create more ways for people to enjoy it together.

So whether you're following us on Instagram, hanging out on TikTok, opening our emails, or simply stopping by to see what we've been up to lately, we're happy you're here.

The ride doesn't stop after checkout. In a lot of ways, that's where it starts.

Cycling Frog was always about creating reasons to enjoy life together. Our products are just how we got introduced.

Since You're Still Here...

All of this is to say: we're here to make cannabis feel a little more affordable, a little more approachable, a little more enjoyable, and a lot more normal.

Since 2022, the people behind the frog have worked hard to create products that fit into real life. From our farms in Central Oregon to our headquarters in Seattle to coolers, refrigerators, and snack drawers all across the country, we've spent the last few years building the kind of cannabis company we'd want to hang out with ourselves.

We believe cannabis should be welcoming. We believe it should be trustworthy. We believe it should be something people feel comfortable sharing with friends, recommending to family, and bringing along for the ride.

That's why we make what we make. That's why we obsess over the details. That's why we've spent the last few years arguing about flavors, testing products, making frog jokes, and doing our best to keep cannabis fun.

This is who we are.

And if you're into good products, good company, and the occasional piece of amphibious nonsense, we're glad to have you along for the ride.🐸
