It’s April, which means your inbox is probably full of brands screaming things like “🌍 IT’S EARTH MONTH, BUY MORE STUFF TO SAVE THE PLANET!! 🌱✨”

Girl… we’re tired.

We know you are too. It’s exhausting watching mega-corporations pour oil in the ocean with one hand and hand you a reusable straw with the other. The pressure to “do your part” gets real loud this time of year—and let’s be honest, it often lands somewhere between guilt trip and greenwashed ad copy. Ew. 

We’re not here to add to that. 

We’re not perfect. But we are trying to suck less.

Because while the climate crisis is giving everyone the ick, it’s also weirdly motivating. It’s why we’re finding ways to make our seltzers more sustainable, our packaging less trashy, and our impact a little lighter. And for some reason, it’s also why we’re now knee-deep in fun facts about frogs and bikes. Don’t worry—it’ll make sense (kinda) later.

1. Hemp > Alcohol (Sorry Not Sorry)

We love a crisp drink as much as the next frog—but let’s be real: not all crops sip the same. Hemp is kinda that girl when it comes to sustainability. It uses way less water than thirsty crops like barley, hops, or grapes, grows fast, and actually improves soil health. It’s like the overachiever of the plant world… but chill.

Even cooler? Once we’re done with it, hemp’s leftovers (aka “biomass”) can be turned into useful stuff like hempcrete, textiles, bioplastics, and paper. It’s the gift that keeps on giving—without drowning the planet in guilt.

Meanwhile, alcohol production is out here guzzling water, draining resources, and cranking out emissions like it’s stuck in 2005. We’re not saying don’t drink. We’re just saying… THC hits different when it’s not flooding fields and flying cross-country in glass bottles wrapped in vibes.

2. Our Packaging Isn’t Trash.

We’ve all had that moment—standing over the recycling bin like it’s a final exam. Is this recyclable? Is this compostable? Why is there glitter??

Same. That’s why we’ve made it stupidly easy to feel good about your order.

Here’s what you’re working with when you get a box of frog fuel:

• Recyclable cardboard boxes

• Biodegradable packing peanuts (they dissolve in warm water like witchcraft)

• Biodegradable tape

• Printed cans instead of wrapped cans 

Okay, we’ll admit—we still use plastic wrap for some of our 16oz cans. But we’re working on it. Those wrappers do peel off, and you can toss them in a specialty recycling bag if you’re about that life. Not ideal, but the change is coming soon. 

Our other packaging is great too. Gummies come in sturdy lil plastic jars that you can recycle or reuse for whatever you want. Fill ’em with rogue bobby pins, friendship bracelets, loose change, dice, frog stickers, tiny love notes to your past self… whatever your heart desires.

THC tins are cute, compact, and perfect for turning into stash boxes, pillboxes, a travel sized dab altar, or your tiny emotional support frog trinkets. Bonus points if you decorate it with googly eyes.

We’re not trying to be the eco police—we’re just out here making packaging that doesn’t make you feel bad for existing.

3. Volunteering & Our Growing Green Gang

Frogs don’t just vibe in their environment—they help it thrive. And honestly? So do we.

Last month, 40 of our Portland team members jumped into action at the Oregon Food Bank, sorting a jaw-dropping 14,417 pounds of potatoes. That’s the equivalent of 12,014 meals for local families. Shoutout to our formulations, packaging, and sanitation squads for hopping in full force and absolutely toad-ally crushing it.

Not to be out-frogged, our Seattle crew spent the day at West Side Baby Hub, playing “personal shopper” for families in need. They carefully packed up diapers, hygiene supplies, books, and more—all based on each child’s unique needs. Tiny humans helped by large-hearted frogs. We love to see it.

And back at the farm? It’s hoppin’.

We’re not just slingin’ THC from thin air—we’re actually growing the stuff. Our team just harvested a record-breaking 2,227,442 hemp seeds, and we’re expanding with new hoop houses to keep things thriving. It’s not just about the yields. It’s about building a system that gives back. Hemp grows fast, uses less water, restores soil health, and opens the door for a lot of sustainable potential: hempcrete, paper, bioplastics, textiles—you name it. 

Plus, all that work? It creates jobs. Good ones. Dirty ones. The kind that involves 53 truckloads of manure and the people brave enough to haul it.

Sustainability is a lot more than just buying better. It’s about building better, from the seed up. And yeah, sometimes that means gettin’ muddy in the name of THC. 

Whether we’re cleaning parks, packing potatoes, or knee-deep in the stink of sustainability, the whole gang shows up. Because making the world a little better doesn’t always look glamorous—but it does look like frogs with purpose.

You Don’t Have to Do It All

Look—we know the vibes are off.

Climate anxiety is real, and no one needs another infographic yelling “ditch plastic!!” while billion-dollar industries sip their oil lattes and pollute like it’s a personality trait.

But if you do want to sprinkle in a little eco-energy without spiraling? We gotchu. Here are some low-effort, frog-approved ways to care for the planet without losing your mind:

• Reuse your gummy jars – Perfect for paperclips, bobby pins, earrings, frog stickers, or storing cursed trinkets from your enemies.

• Metal tins = emotional support stash boxes – Portable. Reusable. Unreasonably satisfying to click open and shut.

• Shorter showers = more frogs – Frogs need clean water. Less shower time means more pond time for our slimy little friends. Bonus: more time for THC.

• Leave some leaves – Frogs love a crunchy leaf pile to nap in. Don’t be a yard neat freak.

• Avoid pesticides – They mess up waterways and destroy amphibian habitats. Choose organic gardening methods or just let your weeds live their truth.

• Turn off the outside lights – Frogs (and bats, and bugs) get confused by light pollution. Plus, it adds ✨mysterious cottagecore ambiance✨ to your home.

• Recycle your cans – Our printed cans are ready to toss straight in the blue bin. The wrapped ones just need peeled first. 

• Keep your cats inside – We love your furry little murder machine, but outdoor cats are a disaster for frogs, birds, and literally everything that moves. Indoor cats live longer anyway. Build them a catio and call it enrichment.

• Plant native vegetation – Lawns are colonizer cosplay. Native plants look better, require no effort, and support pollinators, frogs, and your local ecosystem. Just throw seeds and let chaos bloom.

• Use what you can afford, but better soap helps – Eco-friendly cleaning products are great… if you can swing it. No shame in buying what fits your budget. It’s on companies to make better stuff. But if you can buy the good soap? Go for it. It’s better for the waterways.

• Join a local cleanup – You’ll feel good, maybe make some friends, and directly help frogs, plants, and your neighbors. A win for the whole swamp.

• Leave the hose alone – Lawns and driveways don’t need a daily bath. Save the water for your garden or—hear us out—the frogs.

• Let wild spaces be weird – Every patch of unmowed chaos is potential frog habitat. You don’t need to “fix” it. Let it get a little wild.

Let’s be real—Earth Day often feels like a day-long guilt trip dressed up in a leaf emoji. But that’s not the energy we’re bringing.
